Tam Dao Resort is the ideal destination for vacations in the North with an area of 235ha lying at the attitude of 900m above sea level. It has been known since the Ly and Tran dynasties for its wonderful scenic spots. However, it was not transformed into a resort by the French until the 20th century (1904–1906). In Tam Dao, there are villas, hotels, restaurants, sports fields, swimming pools, and dancing halls.

Driving about an hour from Hanoi, travelers will reach Phuc Yen Town of Vinh Phuc Province. Then, for another half an hour, travelers follow a street along the foot of the mountains under the shadows of pine trees to reach Tam Dao Town.  
Those who set foot in this area for the first time will be surprised to feel a change in the weather when they are about ten kilometers from Tam Dao. Being situated at a height of more than 1,000 meters above sea level, the weather in Tam Dao is similar to Sapa’s in Lao Cai Province, which offers tourists the ability to experience four seasons in one day.
The day starts with spring winds, turns hot at noon like in the summer, has the mild weather of autumn when it turns dark, and is rather cold at night like in the winter.
Visiting this place, tourists also enjoy the feeling of returning to nature with beautifully landscaped valleys, hills, mountains and waterfalls as well as other tourism sites such as Thac Bac (Silver Falls), Suoi Tien (Stream of the Goddess), Cau Hen Ho (Dating Bridge), Cong Troi (Gate of Heaven), Den Thanh Tran (Temple of the Tran God), and the Tam Dao National Park that has a total area of 19,000ha with many rare species of fauna and flora.

Taking a vacation to this area, tourists can rest at the Tam Dao Belvedere Resort located two kilometers from Tam Dao Town and next to Silver Falls, the Tam Dao Golf Course and the national park. The resort just opened in April with a total area of about 50ha and has two Grand Suites, 24 deluxe and 22 standard rooms. The private balconies of all rooms have a mountain and landscape view.  
Being built on a mountain slope, the resort has three groups of rooms constructed at rising heights. Thanks to the mild weather of the mountainous area, flowers are in bloom everywhere at the resort, adorning the romantic atmosphere of the place.
When staying there, tourists should wake up early and go out on the balcony to see Tam Dao Town bobbing in the clouds below and take a deep breath of the fresh air. Tourists can start the day with breakfasts of many types of dishes, especially grilled dishes, available in the resort’s restaurant, or enjoy a meal for two from room service.
After a day visiting other tourism sites, visitors can return and chill out in ‘The Club’ at the resort and enjoy their favorite drinks while listening to jazz and Latin music.
